Springfield, Illinois (18, January 2021) – The BRANDT Foundation awarded five grants to charitable organizations at its regularly-scheduled December meeting.

The December 2020 grantees, all 501(c)3 organizations in good standing for the past three years, boast close ties to the Ag industry and local communities where BRANDT operates its business.

Illinois FFA Alumni Association - With this grant, the Illinois FFA Foundation will help fund its annual alumni meeting and auction. Proceeds from the auction go towards scholarships for FFA members to attend events such as 212 Conference, FFA Leadership Camp, Washington Leadership Conference and more.

Progressive Agriculture Foundation - This grant will be used to help fund the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Program. This educational program provides training and resources for local communities to conduct one-day safety and health programs. Safety Days are designed to be age-appropriate, hands-on, fun, and safe for children.

National Ag in the Classroom - The BRANDT Foundation grant will be used to help fund the National Agriculture in the Classroom annual conference. Last year, more than 260 K through 12 teachers attended the conference which primarily focuses on teacher development.

Illinois 4-H Foundation – This grant will be used to help fund their Illinois 4-H Food Advocacy Grant, which is designed to support youth-led food advocacy projects. These projects address food insecurity and food access. The goal of the grant is to generate greater leadership from youth around the state and make a significant impact on food security in Illinois through increased youth involvement, visibility, and advocacy. Grant applicants will receive financial support from the Illinois 4-H Foundation to assist with acquiring the materials and resources necessary for a successful project.

Abundant Life Ranch, Inc. – The Abundant Life Ranch, located in Sanger, California, helps children from all backgrounds, many from at-risk circumstances, and adults recovering from trauma, build relational health through the ranching lifestyle. With the help from this grant, the Abundant Life Ranch will continue its development of an additional 160 acres to provide a greater space to serve the community.

All the grants are connected to the local communities where BRANDT does business. The mission of The BRANDT Foundation is “to provide meaningful assistance and support to the communities, farms and families where BRANDT has facilities.”
